Xander Ferreira

I grew up close to South Africa’s border to Mozambique on my fathers
farm. From spending days with my two brothers, paging through my
fathers National Geographic Magazines. One became a Geologist, the
other a farmer, and me a photographer. After studying visual
communication for two years I moved down to Cape Town, where I live
and work at the moment.

I can’t remember the first day that I learnt to use a camera, but i
do remember the day that i learnt to see. For me every composition
that different people create is unique to them and has its own
emotions it triggers. Therefore I try and capture my own unique angle
or approach through just looking at my surroundings in my own way. I
photograph what I find attractive, tying to show exactly what I find
beautiful in the subject.

My influences and inspiration differs from day to day. Can’t be
specific but just know when I see something that triggers an
attraction in me.

SPACE - An Old Frontier

its been a really awesome start of week for me and the collective.
firstly our monday morning meeting with an organization called Azaad Youth Services.was very fruitfull, they occupy a buliding in the old district six and its been vandalized and really fucked up by time and misuse of previous patrons. i got here some pics of issi , yasser and me checking out the building.twas a bit nostalgic( see yasser) our mission for this place is gonna be to grow it organically.

First u crawl, then u walk and then u run…

simplify simplify …and dont RUSH

MIE and ME thats the way its gonna be …my baby is back in town.

its all ORGANIC.and to be organic
is to be HUMAN.

Francois Raubenheimer

Currently living in Cape Town, and he is busy changing his photography from being a hobby to being a career. He enjoys capturing those rare images that tell more of a story than only the immediate visual aspect of the photo.

Tip top.
